Our Activities

We strive to feed the spirit as well as the mind. The neighborhood outside our walls is filled with obstacles for the children such as the lure of drugs and gangs.

In addition to a warm meal, the Children’s Supper Hour provides activities in a safe place.  Our dining room provides a warm place to go in the winter and a cool place to retreat to in the summer.

We have Bible lessons, which include reading/memorizing Bible verses, craft projects, games, songs, stories, word finds and puzzles.

We are bridging the "Digital Divide" by providing computers for the children to use. They can do homework or play educational games.

We have a choir, and the children are given the opportunity to build their self-esteem by performing at various events.

We do craft projects and display the children's artwork to further build their self-esteem. Be sure to check out our Children's Art Gallery to see some of the children's creations.

We have toys for all ages, board games, as well as air hockey, foosball, basketball and ping pong.

At our annual Christmas party the children visit with Santa while volunteers deliver wrapped toys and gifts, Christmas stockings filled with small toys and candy, large boxes of food, laundry baskets filled with personal care and cleaning supplies and warm blankets or towels to each child's family.

At Easter we distribute Easter baskets containing Christian items, personal care products, and plastic eggs filled with candy.  Boxed valentine cards are distributed so that our children are prepared to attend their classroom’s Valentine’s Day Party.

It's your donations that allow us to provide these activities to our neighborhood children.
